Brookes Sport is offering a unique opportunity to swim every Thursday morning 7am to 8am June to August in a quiet section of Oxford's Thames, with qualified open water lifeguards on hand in case of emergency.

Open water swimming is a fast growing activity with growing evidence that the cold adaption can improve mood and reduce anxiety.

The water is cool but will normally be between 15 and 20 degrees so wearing a wetsuit is optional but not provided. The depth of the water is generally shallow so swimmers can stand up if needed and we recommend wearing something on your feet.

Access to the river, parking, changing and showers are provided by permission of Falcon Rowing and Canoe Club.

A season pass giving unlimited Thursday morning sessions to the end of August costs £40 or single session credits can be purchased for £6.50 per session. All sessions must be purchased in advance online.
