Rock climbing is a physical, challenging activity, which can be done outdoors or at an indoor wall. Indoors, climbers follow a series of marked holds or routes, which are set at varying difficulties. Not keen on heights or want to start without the ropes? Bouldering allows climbers to develop their skills on lower walls with crash mats, just a few metres off the ground, without having to use ropes.
Brookes Climb, at the Centre for Sport in Headington, is the premier climbing facility in the county making it a hub for the local climbing community. Membership of the Brookes Climbing Club provides entry and instruction during club sessions. In addition to weekly indoor climbing sessions the club also offers trips to undertake a range of climbing and mountaineering activities.
The Brookes Climbing and Mountaineering club train at Brookes Sport on Wednesdays from 12:15pm to 2:00pm.
Contact the club at firstname.lastname@example.org
The wall is open 7 days a week with regular beginners climbing courses, so there are plenty of opportunities to give it a go!
