    If you are an employer wishing to upskill your existing workforce, or an individual wishing to pursue a qualification for professional advantage or career advancement, Oxford Brookes has a wide range of options available. Many of these offer flexibility across short courses or part-time options allowing study to be integrated with work requirements so that the student and their employer begin to benefit while study is ongoing.

  • Accountancy
    Oxford Brookes University has a strong strategic relationship with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Various courses are available through the Business School.
    The School of Architecture offers courses leading to RIBA recognised qualifications such as the RIBA Examination in Professional Practice.
    We offer a variety of short courses in graphic design, photography, drawing and other arts disciplines.
    Built Environment
    We have been running a highly successful programme in Planning and Planning-related subjects over many years, including Construction, Real Estate and Urban Design, from short courses to conferences and in-house training.
    Business and Management
    The Business School offers a wide variety of qualifications and accreditations through programmes on leadership, coaching and mentoring, and management development. We have just introduced a new range of short courses  including:  Introduction to Coaching & Mentoring Leading, Managing in Times of Uncertainty and Building a High-Performance Team.
    Data-driven Marketing and Publishing
    In this 12-week course, you will cover the theory and practice of data-driven marketing and business intelligence in a publishing context. This includes working with consumer data ethically, generating value from data, as well as methods of data evaluation and communication. Find out more
    As well as teacher training, a variety of courses are on offer to develop specialist teaching skills.

    Further and higher education
    The Oxford Centre for Staff and Learning Development offers courses and other support for staff and educational development nationally and internationally, within higher education and the public sector, and internally at Oxford Brookes University.
    A wide variety of accredited qualifications, short courses, study days, and workshops are available spanning many healthcare disciplines, including nursing, paramedic training, and mental health.
    The Oxford Brookes School of Hospitality Management offers stimulating programmes for career development as well as accredited and valuable specialist courses through the Cookery and Wine School.
    Social Care
    The Institute of Public Care delivers a range of programmes that offer the practical support you need to improve your skills. These include short courses covering practical training and development in key aspects of public care provision, as well as longer broader development programmes for managers. Our courses have the option of being accredited by Oxford Brookes. We also provide developmental coaching for managers in public care.
    A variety of accredited courses are available to guide students through the academic stage of qualifying in the legal profession
