This event has now finished. Please see our events website for details of upcoming events at Brookes.
Who this event is for
Clerici Learning Studio, Clerici Building
On 26th March
we will be internally launching the Inclusion, Diversity and Gender Network
(IDGN), which is one of the University-wide Research Networks. The network aims
to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and promote research engagement between
academics, staff and students who investigate and/or have an interest in topics
related to our themes which include (but are not limited to) gender, race,
disability, social class and LGBT+ issues.
The event will be a series
of three minute presentation for members of the network to present their
research interests. You are free to use the Three Minute Thesis style format,
or Pecha Kucha (only 10 slides though by 20sec) or an open mic format. The aim
of the event is to allow members of the network to meet and learn from one
another and allow us to gather the common themes across our work. This event is
an opportunity to provide a fairly informal, open and inclusive space for
people to share interests and ideas so please don’t be shy to present any work
that is still in progress. After the presentations there will be a chance to
discuss the themes presented and meet others across the network.
You’re invited to fill out a Google Form if you would like to attend and
indicate whether you would like to present your research. The slots for
presentations will be done on a first come, first served basis.
