Dr Anne Laure Humbert was a guest speaker on BBC Radio 4 discussing the damage caused by the old fashioned-way according to which caring for others is a feminine characteristic.

This approach to nurses still persists in British society and contributes to the suppression of nurses’ wages and working conditions according to the study funded and commissioned by the Royal College of Nursing and undertaken by a consortium led by Dr Kate Clayton-Hathway and Dr Anne Laure Humbert (Centre for Diversity Policy Research and Practice) and Sue Schutz (Oxford School of Nursing and Midwifery) at Oxford Brookes University.
