Ioanna Iordanou has successfully published a book entitled 'Venice's Secret Service: Organizing Intelligence in the Renaissance.'
The book follows from research undertaken in the Business School and traces an engaging and exciting story before the SIS and the CIA, in the period of the Renaissance, in which the Republic of Venice had masterminded a remarkable centrally-organised state intelligence organisation that played a pivotal role in the defence of the Venetian empire. The book is now in the process of being translated and published into Turkish with a prestigious publisher, and an Italian translated version coming later. A copy will be placed in the School and is also available to purchase at various retailers including Amazon.
