At present Julie is conducting research on the problem and issues of managing experts and expertise in high tech firms. This research has practical implications for organisations operating in fast moving, competitive environments where expert knowledge is at a premium. She is also interested in developing materials to support students in an e-based learning environment.
Julie has over 20 years experience lecturing and consulting in the field of organisation and management development. During this time she has worked for a wide range of organisations in both the private and the public sector. Her main academic interests are in the development of effective project management teams and helping organisations to make the most of their knowledge and expertise.
She has been responsible for the design development and management of several major academic degree programmes and is currently using this experience to investigate how management learning can be enhanced and facilitated in organisations.
Julie currently works with MBA students in the Oxford Institute of International Finance where her role is primarily to support MBA students who are embarking on their Dissertation. This involves the design and delivery of on-line research methods seminars.
