We’re searching for new Entrepreneurs in Residence and Visiting Industrial Fellows

We’re on the lookout for new Entrepreneurs in Residence and Visiting Industrial Fellows to partner with Oxford Brookes Business School!

It is two years since we appointed our first Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiRs) and Visiting Industrial Fellows (VIFs) who have had a fantastic impact across the School. Their terms of office will complete in August, and we are seeking nominations for new appointees.

The Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiRs) and Visiting Industrial Fellows (VIFs) provide business insight, knowledge and experience and we are very grateful for their contribution to the Business School.

Nominations will close on 13th March; we will then ask nominees to complete an application form; the deadline for this is 14th April.

Successful applicants will be invited to an on-campus event on 21st of June prior to their commencement on 1st September.

If you know someone who you think would be an outstanding candidate for either of these schemes then please let us know about them by 13th March by filling out a nomination form.

Introduction to EIRs

The Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiR) scheme engages individuals with the background, experience and enthusiasm to deliver entrepreneurial and related insights and support work for our students, staff and stakeholders.

Entrepreneurs in Residence are part of a network that aims to provide learners and staff at OBBS and across the University with rapid access to a broad and deep base of knowledge, experience and contacts. Specifically, they will be providing insight into the challenges of creating and growing a business, and how an entrepreneurially-minded individual can succeed.

As well as providing inspiration for our students, Entrepreneurs in Residence are embedded across the Business School, contributing their thinking and insights into new programme development, community engagement and knowledge exchange.

Introduction to VIFs

The Visiting Industrial Fellow (VIF) scheme engages individuals with the background, experience and enthusiasm to deliver business, commercial and related insights and support work for our students, staff and stakeholders.

Visiting Industrial Fellows are part of a network that aims to provide learners and staff at OBBS and across the University with rapid access to a broad and deep base of knowledge, experience and contacts. Specifically, they will be providing insight into the functional challenges of managing and working within larger organisations, and the skills required to develop a successful career.

As well as providing inspiration for our students, Visiting Industrial Fellows are embedded across the Business School, contributing their thinking and insights into new programme development, community engagement and knowledge exchange.
