  • Our links and interactions with the international business community are an essential part of the Oxford Brookes Global MBA. Through working with guest speakers from industry and other students on the programme, practical knowledge, experience and critical business issues are integrated into your study.

Our MBA student body is entirely composed of experienced professionals. Through interactive, tutor-facilitated, student-led study modules, you will consider live business issues from the perspective of a wide variety of industry sectors and geographic regions. The Oxford Brookes Global MBA tutors bring a wealth of commercial experience from their own careers in industry, consultancy work and research.

You will work with students from more than 60 countries in organisations ranging from large accountancy firms such as Ernst and Young and KPMG, global brands such as GlaxoSmithKline, Proctor and Gamble, Airbus, Audi and Tiffany, and banking groups such as Barclays and Lloyds. Students working in the not-for-profit, charity and public sectors including the NHS, Norwegian Refugee Council, African Health Organisation and the British Transport Police will share their management insights along with the entrepreneurial experiences of students running their own businesses.

Guest speakers from industry provide case studies and master classes, bringing their topics to life and demonstrating how theory is applied in practice. Guest speakers have included executives from BUPA, Wincanton, Primark, The Cotswold Brewing Company, Magic Whiteboard and PwC.

In our compulsory workshops all students benefit from hands-on sessions. For example, students recently worked with consultants involved in the UN World Food Programme.

The annual MBA Summer School brings together students, business executives and alumni to explore current management issues. At a recent Summer School alumni from five continents flew in to deliver seminars with their insights from a range of organisations including Venerdi Investments: GCAS, Delamode, Red Hat Inc, Nestlé, TSB, A-ViA Interim Consulting, Medtronic, ASE and the NHS. Topics included venture capitalism in Brazil, logistics in Eastern Europe, human resource management in the USA and medical equipment manufacture in Israel.
