Peking University HSBC Business School hosted the first joint research seminar with academics from Oxford Brookes University on 12th September 2018 at their Oxford Campus.
To mark this event, a conference was held at Unipart in Oxford sponsored by Aylesbury Vale District Council, FlexIT and bChannels and Helen Wright Founder of 9-2-3 Jobs. Over 100 people attended the event and many more joined online for live streaming of the day.

As human rights have become an increasingly prominent issue to businesses, the need and demand for education on business and human rights (BHR) is growing. On 4th June, Dr Samentha Goethals co-organised the event ‘What does it take for businesses to respect human rights?’ – Taking a critical look at business and human rights education, as part of the Oxford Business & Human Rights Network (OxBHR Network) seminar series.
Professor Tatiana Bachkirova has delivered a keynote presentation at the 3rd Conference of the ESRAD (European Society for Research in Adult Development) that took place on the 26-27 May 2018 at the University of Greenwich, London.
Dr Rozana Himaz, Senior Lecturer in Economics at the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics, together with Professor Christopher Hood (Oxford), presented at HM Treasury in May to an audience of over 100 participants findings from their book A Century of Fiscal Squeeze Politics: 100 years of Austerity, Politics and Bureaucracy in Britain (Oxford University Press, 2017).
