Animal Conservation (BSc top-up)

This is an ideal course for graduates of a Foundation Degree or HND programme in Animal Conservation wishing to further their study to gain a full Honours degree. It provides you with the potential for employment in a range of animal conservation professions and aims to develop management skills and knowledge alongside research techniques and evaluative thinking. The course is taught at University Centre Somerset, part of Bridgwater and Taunton College.

Specific entry requirements

An HND or Foundation Degree in a related subject and at least four GCSEs at grade A*-C including Maths, English and Science or Level 2 equivalent, plus paid or voluntary work experience in the sector.

Applicants whose first language is not English must also demonstrate that their level of English is acceptable, by achieving a score in a recognised test such as:
  • British Council IELTS: normally minimum level 6.0 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in the reading and writing components.
