    Social media are virtual communities and networks that allow users to create and share content or to participate in social networking. At the moment popular social media sites include;

    What social media do we have at Brookes?

    We have official accounts on most of the popular social media channels. The accounts listed below are managed by the Communications Team so if you’re interested in communicating via these accounts please contact the Social Media Manager socialmedia@brookes.ac.uk.

    Can I create a new Brookes account?

    Before you create a new social media account please talk to your line manager about your ideas and aims. You should also read through the guidelines below and make sure you are clear about how you will apply them. Remember social media are interactive channels of communication; any account you set up will need to be monitored regularly.

    If you decide to create a new social media account please send an email with the account details to socialmedia@brookes.ac.uk so that we can add your account to the Brookes directory.

    Where can I get advice/help?

    If you would like an informal chat about how to get started, or you have a specific idea that you’d like to use social media for please email socialmedia@brookes.ac.uk. The Social Media Manager can give you advice and as part of the Communications Team, can help you to get the relevant communications support.
