Rationalising Boilers: Shiplake Village Hall

Extension plans for the hall included the installation of an additional boiler to heat the new rooms whilst retaining a 25+year old boiler to heat the main hall.

A single larger boiler was installed instead to replace the main hall boiler and heat the new rooms. The extra cost of installing this single boiler instead of adding an additional boiler was £1,100.

Savings from the system will come from reduced maintenance and servicing costs. Energy savings will come from the new, efficient boiler.

The new boiler has also be sited in a new plant room adjacent to the main hall along with all the plumbing controls, hot water cylinder in one place, which has eased access significantly and has allowed heating to be controlled and set more effectively.
