Learning and teaching here at Oxford Brookes is a flexible mix of formal lectures, seminars and practical workshops and sessions which mix seminar and workshop together. Topics range widely depending on the module you are studying but you might be discussing aspects of Expressionism, postmodernism or whether Hamlet is mad one moment and ten minutes later working through the same ideas through performance, lighting and sound. You might consider how melancholia was performed in Shakespeare’s day and how you might interpret this for a 21st century audience. Drama at Oxford Brookes asks you to think on your feet – literally and metaphorically!
