I think the course offers a wide range of interesting modules and is very conducive to gaining a great understanding and proficiency in French

I had visited Oxford as my brother was a student of Oxford Brookes and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the campus, I also liked the fact that the year abroad was in 2nd year because I thought it would be more beneficial to the quality of my work for my 3rd and 4th year.

Overall, I think the course offers a wide range of interesting modules and is very conducive to gaining a great understanding and proficiency in French. It teaches you how to practically use your language in the workplace as well as on a day to day basis. I loved the group of people I was studying with and the teachers. They are all very helpful and supportive. Also, the choice of modules here at Brookes is very impressive.

I think the Year Abroad is a great idea. You really notice the difference in your fluency and the quality of your work when you return to the UK. But I would advise anyone considering studying French here to take every opportunity to practice your French throughout the course. Get to know the French exchange students and take part in French society events. At the end of the day, you get out what you put in.
