Introducing Rise - The New Programme Changing the Face of Entrepreneurship

Oxford Brookes Enterprise Support is proud to introduce our new programme, Rise, delivered in partnership with Foundervine.

Launching in January 2021, Rise is an 8-week training programme for ambitious diverse founders wanting to change the face of entrepreneurship. Combining masterclasses, mentoring and guest speaker sessions, this is a valuable opportunity to meet fellow students and grads from diverse communities. Attendees on the programme will gain a clearer vision of their entrepreneurial journey and join an empowering community where they are able to forge valuable connections, share advice and move forward with their ideas. 

The programme has been developed in partnership with Foundervine, an award-winning social enterprise on a mission to change the global face of entrepreneurship and build a future where anyone, regardless of their background can start and grow a sustainable business.

Rise is a free programme open by applications only. Attendees accepted on to the programme can expect to take part in an 8-week training programme designed to enhance the business skills developed through the Spark and FUEL programmes. The programme will comprise of:

  • Masterclasses: for a selected co-hort of BAME students and graduate entrepreneurs, these high-impact masterclasses are designed to help startups build knowledge, advice and gain direct access to a network of mentors, partners and investors to help them scale. 

  • Guest Speaker Sessions: open to all with entrepreneurial curiosity, these guest sessions provide an opportunity for attendees to network with some of the brightest minds in the startup and venture capital ecosystem, and connect with professionals across a number of industries for knowledge-sharing, networking and inspiration.

  • Demo Day: individuals who complete the Rise programme are invited to present their company to a virtual room full of specially invited guests including stakeholders from the university, Foundervine and partner ecosystem, mentors, program speakers, and program alumni.
