Catalyst is an accelerator programme for trailblazing tech start-ups founded by Oxford Brookes students, staff and alumni and/or any other entrepreneurs based in and operating from Oxfordshire.

The Catalyst programme is delivered by Brookes Enterprise Support in partnership with The Institute for Ethical AI.

Ambitious Tech entrepreneurs developing a promising venture are invited to join Catalyst – a Start-Up Accelerator programme running over ten weeks from 17th May to 19th July 2021 to strengthen the foundation of their business, learn how to deploy new technologies, and compete for a chance to win a share of £40,000 grant funding.

Catalyst is a unique programme delivered in collaboration between Brookes Enterprise Support and The Institute for Ethical AI. The startups applying to join the programme will be taken through a competitive selection process. Once successfully selected, the entrepreneurs can expect to access a range of industry leaders including AI experts, business mentors, angel investors and marketing professionals on a weekly basis.

With guest speakers from world-leading companies including Microsoft, IBM, Spotify, Rolls Royce, Fujitsu and more confirmed on the programme, the start-ups will access valuable insights from thought leaders.

In the final week, the start-ups will pitch at a Investor Showcase event for a chance to win a share of the £40,000 innovation funding sponsored by the Institute for Ethical AI and connect with angel investors.

To qualify, applicants must be an Oxford Brookes student, staff member or alumni, or be the founder of an Oxfordshire-based registered tech business and have an MVP.
