Our co-working spaces are modern well appointed environments, that are suitable for all your early stage business needs. Furnished in a contemporary style with high quality facilities they are open plan, comfortable and professional feeling.

Whether you are an Oxford Brookes student, a member of staff or recent graduate these environments aim to be places for inspiration and where ideas can flourish; places where all kinds of support from your peers to experts can be accessed, where personal confidence and ambition can develop and help you to focus on your growing business needs without distraction

NB: Our enterprise space is not an open access environment. You are able to use it for a maximum of 2 years in the first instance and should you need the space longer than this time - you will need to have this agreed by the Enterprise Support Team.

BEHive

BEHive is the co-working space at Headington campus. It is modern, light and airy. It offers a supportive environment for students, staff and recent graduates to work on their business.

It has a library of business-building tools, an active community of founders and plenty of opportunities to network. Whether you're at the earliest of stages or really taking off, you will be in good company here

We decide which campus is best for you, (based on the agenda of your business, and the support required from the team ) (either BEHive (Headington) or ICEQube (Wheatley).
You sign a agreement which will outline what we provide for you, how long you are able to use the space and what we expect from you while you use it.

ICEQube

ICEQube is a pre-incubation space for start-ups at Wheatley Campus. It is for students, staff and recent graduates who are have developed their idea in to an early stage business. If you are based at ICEQube you'll gain the specialist support you need to flip the switch on your businesses future.

Location: Wheatley Campus

Opening hours: Access is by arrangement

What you get at Ice Qube

IceQube offers:

Technology guidance and support
Access to a fully furnished workspace (you provide your own technology hardware etc)
Access to meeting and training rooms
High Speed WiFi network access
Access to a canteen
Networking opportunities and collaborations across the University.

NB Space is able to used the space for a maximum of 2 years as Brookes staff/ alumni. Should you need the space longer than this time - you will need to have this agreed.

After your departure, you will be asked to hold 1 mentoring session and a small presentation on the development of your business over the course of one year. This is depending on the award that you received from our funding programmes.

FAQs

How long can I use a co-working space?

Normally you can use one of our spaces for a maximum of two years. We've found that successful businesses generally want to have greater privacy, more space, or greater flexibility by then.

Can I stay longer if I need/ want to?

Space is limited in our co-working environments so priority has to be given to the most appropriate fit of companies. There are a variety of criteria we use to explore selection so please speak to a member of the Brookes Enterprise Support team to discuss your needs before making any decisions. We will always do what we can to support you and your business.

What sort of things will I need to do when I leave my residency at a Brookes co-working space?

We ask our departing-residents to give a short presentation on the development of their business over the course of one year. It should reflect the sort of award (if any) they received from us and help us to tell the story to the next generation of entrepreneurs in the space.

Can I come back and visit?

Yes, please! We always welcome our old residents and founders.
