ABOUT THIS COURSE:
Join us for a practice based workshop specifically designed for Paramedics, Emergency Care Assistants and Associate Practitioners.
Our aim is to update your expertise, skills and care, empowering you to support women and their families through unplanned home birth.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
Theory will be delivered first, followed by an engaging, scenario-based hands on approach in which you can practice and further develop your skills and care with emphasis on communication within the team and with the family.
Discussion post scenario will give you invaluable insight into each learning experience, where you will be able to explore the care given and the approach needed in practice.
WHAT WILL BE COVERED:
- Normal birth
- Shoulder dystocia
- Cord Prolapse
- Post-partum Haemorrhage
- Neonatal Resuscitation
WHO DELIVERS THIS WORKSHOP?
It will be facilitated by a midwifery lecturer who is a senior community midwife with over ten years’ experience. Two other midwifery lecturers will support the practical hands on scenarios.
