Work complete on new Psychology labs
Friday, 01 February 2019
Last week, our Psychology students and staff gathered to celebrate the completion of their brand new research and teaching labs. This opening tour provided an opportunity to showcase the new space in the Sinclair building.
The new layout of the facilities has been purpose built to better meet the needs of students and staff. The new space allows the university’s Psychology community to collaborate more closely, meet the British Psychological Society’s accreditation standards for dedicated space for psychology students and will further improve staff and student’s overall experience.
Programme Lead for Psychology Professor Vincent Connelly has given his thoughts on the new space:
“Our new space provides a wonderful opportunity to enhance our teaching of students with these purpose built facilities and our psychology teaching lab. Student feedback on the space has been extremely positive. We are currently revalidating our undergraduate degree and this gives us the opportunity to design teaching around our new facilities. This dedicated space for psychology students will go down very well with the British Psychological Society who will accredit our new degree.”
