The Introduction to Patient Assessment module offers an opportunity for health care professionals to develop knowledge and skills in patient assessment. The module will examine and explore common themes and concepts underpinning patient assessment, and will enable students to think critically and logically about issues pertinent to assessment of the acute, critically ill or deteriorating patient.
The module assessment comprises of, an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE); Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) paper and Practice Assessment Document.
This module is open to Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust health care professionals only, who are UK registered health or social care professionals with a minimum of 12 months experience in practice. Applicants must be employed or have access to a health care setting that will enable achievement of the clinical competencies and learning outcomes, and have the support of their manager.
