• Oxford Institute of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Research

    The Oxford Institute of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Research (OxINMAHR) combines the expertise of a broad range of health care researchers and practitioners for the benefit of patient health throughout the UK and beyond.

    As part of the Oxford Academic Health Science Centre (a partnership between Oxford Brookes University, University of Oxford, Oxford University Hospitals and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trusts), it is one of only six Department of Health accredited centres of excellence.

    OxINMAHR partners with institutions and commercial businesses within the health care sector in pursuit of its aims to improve patient safety and wellbeing; promote health equity and social justice; and, support workforce resilience and sustainability.

    Partnership projects include:

    • Clinical reviews
    • Working with manufacturers of healthcare “tools”
    • Collaborations through PhD research projects
    • Research across a wide range of health disciplines including physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social elements of health
