Oxford Brookes hosts two visiting Fellows from the Royal Literary Fund scheme. Based in the department of English and Modern Languages, the RLF Fellows are available to assist you with any aspect of writing during your time at Brookes, and we are welcoming two new Fellows to Brookes this coming semester.

Catherine Bailey is a television producer and a bestselling author. Before embarking on her publishing career, she produced a series of critically acclaimed films in comedy, documentary and current affairs for the BBC and Channel 4.

Mike Harris is a script writer and theatre director. He has written over 100 scripts for Radio, Theatre and TV, including soaps and serials, adaptations, one-off dramas, theatre in education, youth and children’s Theatre and large scale community plays.

We will be holding a welcome reception for Catherine and Mike in the Green Room/Music Room at Headington Hill Hall on Wednesday 17 September, 5-7pm, following the English Programme Induction Meeting earlier that afternoon for incoming first year students).
Mike and Catherine will both agreed to talk about their work, and there will be wine!
