Gender ideologies in popular management books for women with speaker María Medina-Vicent, Universitat Jaume I and Oxford Brookes

Popular management literature for women acts as a guide for those professional women who wish to climb to op business management positions. For this reason, it is essential to consider from a feminist viewpoint what alues and behaviors this literature promotes. In this presentation, Medina-Vicent provides an overview of the main arguments presented in popular management literature regarding specifically women's personal and
workplace lives. Her analysis highlights how the neurosciences have provided much of the justification for this ind of literature. This presentation will then discuss whether this basis implies an essentialist vision of women’s leadership.
