Details

Are women are expected to just know how to be a mother? And do we feel like we should be enjoying every moment of raising our children?

Join us to watch extracts of the Mum’s the Word - an award-winning play written by six Canadian women who saw themselves transformed from glamourous and successful actresses into disheveled and exhausted mothers. Blistering, hilarious and ultimately truthful, it depicts the all-too-common experiences of women who 'start each day as Mary Poppins, but finish it as Cruella deVille.'

We’ll also share our own experiences as mothers and discuss what it realistically means to be a mother today.

Suitable for ages 16+
