Poetry has a long history of expressing some of the most beautiful human ideas and emotions, but does stand-up comedy now hold equal power to inspire and entertain? At this event the audience decides, as poets and stand-up comedians compete to explore the Think Human Festival themes of Identity, Sensations, Power and Futures.

Stanza vs Stand Up is hosted by Alex Farrow, stand-up comedian, philosophy teacher and resident MC at Jericho Comedy Oxford and by Oxford Brookes Poetry Centre. Come, laugh, be inspired, and remember - you decide who wins!
