Turkish Foreign Policy after the Arab Spring and the Emerging New Middle East with speaker Professor Hüseyin Bağcı

Professor Hüseyin Bağcı is the Chair of the Department of International Relations at Middle East Technical University in Ankara (Turkey). After receiving his Ph. D. in Political Science from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Bonn in 1988, Professor Bağcı was guest researcher at the German Society for Foreign Affairs (DGAP) in Bonn, and Senior Fellow at the Center for European Integration Studies (ZEI) in Bonn and at the Landesverteidigungsakademie und Militarwissenshaftliches Büro des Bundesministeriums für Landesverteidigung in Vienna. He has published several books and articles on Turkish Foreign Policy and Turkish-German relations. Professor Bağcı is a famous TV and Radio Commentator in Turkey. Professor Bağcı is a member of IISS in London and Center for European Policy Studies (CEPS), Brussels, Belgium. He is also Deputy Director of Foreign Policy Institute in Ankara. Professor Bağcı was visiting Professor at the University of Bonn as (Anna Maria Schimmel Professor) in 2007, University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2007 (Italy) and University of Lublin (Poland) in 2008. Professor Bağcı is widely quoted also by national and international press.
