Artist Teacher Practice research project ‘Liminal States’
Wednesday, 12 September 2018
‘Liminal States’ is an art research project by MA in Education Artist Teacher Catherine Ross.
The artworks Catherine has presented digitally relate to her research project ‘Liminal States’. The project explores how a pedagogical framework, drawing on liminal learning states, helps support adult learners to create artworks.
Catherine is now close to completing her practice-based dissertation, and talking about her project Catherine commented,
‘As a student on the M.A. in Education Artist Teacher Scheme at Oxford Brookes University I have been exploring liminality (a transitional or initial stage of a process or the inhabitation at or on both sides of a boundary or threshold) in my art
work. This has resulted in an art project and show with adult learners I teach. I cordially invited you to share the story of our journey on my
Instagram
and blog.’
