Two senior members of Oxford Brookes’ Social Sciences department are celebrating the launch of their brand new book, ‘Anthropology’, on Thursday 4 October, 5:30pm at Blackwell University Bookshop, Gipsy Lane. Joy Hendry, Emeritus Professor of Social Anthropology at Brookes and Simon Underdown, Senior Lecturer in Biological Anthropology have written a beginner’s guide to Anthropology, described as “An excellent place to start discovering the range and depth of anthropological enquiry”.

The book explores humanity from a cultural and biological perspective and offers some illuminating examples including the relationships we have with both our mobile phones and the bathroom.
