Brookes academic to become managing editor of academic journal in Japan

John Lo Breglio, Senior Lecturer in Japanese studies at Oxford Brookes, has recently begun his Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) invitational fellowship, at the International Research Institute for Japanese Studies, National Institute for the Humanities, in Kyoto, Japan.
John will spend three months there this summer continuing his research on early 20th-century Buddhist perspectives on international imperialism. Following the fellowship, John will be taking a break from Brookes for the 2017-18 academic year and will be employed as the managing editor of the academic journal, The Eastern Buddhist, based at Ōtani University, also in Kyoto.
