Brookes-based theatre company presents 'Shadows on the Wall' in the new Oxford Fringe Festival

Wednesday, 22 May 2013

Re:Conception Theatre is presenting its newly devised play 'Shadows on the Wall' at the Oxford Fringe Festival. Directed by Oxford Brookes’ own Drama Technician, Russell Anderson, with a cast composed of Brookes Drama students, the play will run on three dates in late May and early June. With Oxfringe taking a break from the festival this year, one of the production companies involved, along with the collective effort of the acts still wanting to perform, re-launched under the new title of the Oxford Fringe Festival. Performing at the Old Fire Station, Re:Conception are very excited to be taking part in the re-launched festival with their new play: A ruler reflects upon his rise to power, whilst his aides conspire to take it from him: trust is broken, friendships are tested and the truth left butchered. Power comes at a price, but who is willing to pay it? Shadows on the Wall is a story of power struggles, both political and personal: the effects that power can have on a person, their ideals and their relationships; and the lengths, means and methods we are capable of going to in order to obtain and maintain power over others. Show dates are as follows and tickets are £8 (£7 concessions) May 25th, 8.30pm May 27th, 5.30pm June 7th, 5.30pm Find out more at: www.reconceptiontheatre.com/shadowsonthewall oxfordfringe.org
