Brookes Japanese student enjoys intensive language and culture programme

Wednesday, 05 September 2012

Liam Holton, a first year student in Japanese Studies, has been selected to take part in an intensive language and culture programme at the Japan Foundation Kansai Japanese Language Institute for 6 weeks across August and September, with all travel and living expenses paid by the Japan Foundation. This is the second year a Brookes student has taken part in the programme as part of our partnership with Hiroshima University. In March, two students from Hiroshima were also welcomed to Brookes for teacher training for three weeks. The partnership is managed and run by two members of Brookes' Japanese team, Suzuko Anai and Keiko Ikeshiro. In addition, Paul Graham, a Japanese Studies student who graduated in 2010, is now working as Assistant Programme and Administration Officer at the Japan Foundation, London.
