Dr Marius Turda to give one public lecture to the university and a seminar to students of the Centre of European Studies while he is Visiting Professor at Trinity College Dublin

At the invitation of Dr Balázs Apor, Assistant Professor in European Studies, Dr Marius Turda, Reader in 20th Century Central and Eastern European Biomedicine, will be a Visiting Professor at Trinity College Dublin between 3–6 March 2014. As part of his visit Dr Turda will give one public lecture on ‘Eugenics and Modernity’ to the university and conduct a seminar on various eugenic movements in Eastern Europe with students of the Centre of European Studies. The visit is also intended to strengthen academic links between Oxford Brookes University and Trinity College Dublin, and to raise the international profile of the research in the history of eugenics carried out by members and students of the Centre for Health, Medicine and Society.
