Wednesday, 17 January 2018
The Oxford Brookes History and History of Art teams have received exceptional results in the most recent student satisfaction survey (NSS).
For History, an impressive 94 per cent of Oxford Brookes students agreed with the NSS statement ‘Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of the course’, and for History of Art 90 per cent agreed with the same statement.
In recognition of their success in the NSS results, both the History and History of Art teams received awards from the university.
Dr James Cooper, Acting Head of the School of History, Philosophy and Culture commented: “We have a strong record of excellent NSS results in our School, and I am very pleased for my colleagues in History and History of Art for receiving such outstanding student feedback. Receiving good feedback is important, and it shows that our commitment to excellent teaching and our enthusiasm for continually improving our programmes is recognised by our students. This collaborative approach to working with our students is vital to us delivering a world-class student experience - and we look forward to continuing this work in the future.”
The annual NSS asks a range of questions to graduating students about their time at university covering categories such as teaching, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources, personal development and overall satisfaction.
The NSS covers nearly all final-year undergraduates studying for higher education qualifications at Higher Education Institutions. Further information is available on the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) website.
