Oxford Brookes Anthropology graduate awarded RAI essay prize

Oxford Brookes' Department of Anthropology and Geography are delighted to learn that recent graduate James West has been awarded the  presitigious Royal Anthropological Institute's Student Essay Prize, the leading anthropology student essay prize in the UK. James' essay, the first by an Oxford Brookes Anthropology student to be submitted to the RAI competition,  was based on his final year dissertation on male friendship, which was supervised by Professor Jeremy MacClancy. James has recently been awarded the Chancellor's Fellowship of the University of California where he will join the postgraduate anthropology programme.
