Oxford Brookes Education courses rise in subjects tables

Education at Oxford Brookes University has climbed 7 places in the latest 2012 Complete University Guide Subject Tables. Education is now placed 17th out of 80 – up from 24th, and is placed ahead of older universities such as Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds. Education courses at the university consist of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes including Primary Teacher Education, Early Childhood Studies, PGCEs and MA Education. Oxford Brookes also rose in the university tables placing 46th of 116 universities – an increase of 4 places. This move has seen it become the highest placed Post-92 University, overtaking the University of Hertfordshire and Nottingham Trent University. It has also risen above the older universities of Aberystwyth and Brunel, and also remains above the likes of Goldsmiths, Hull, Bradford, Bangor and Salford.
