Oxford Brookes History Lecturer Comments on Prospects for Economic Recovery

Friday, 21 October 2011

Dr Glen O'Hara, Reader in the History of Public Policy, has today published an article on the 'History and Policy' website arguing that the lessons of the Great Depression during the 1930s are not being sufficiently heeded by economic policymakers today. In particular, he argues that governments should spend more, borrow more and invest more if western and developed countries are to emerge rapidly from recession.
