Scholarships are now available for the MA International Relations, MA International Security and MA International Relations (Distance Learning)
Tuesday, 19 November 2019
Applications are now open for two Departmental scholarships available for our MA International Relations, MA International Security and MA International Relations (Distance Learning) course.
Applicants for all scholarships will need to hold an offer before
submitting their scholarship application form.
The scholarship competition is open to any of the following:
1. An international student who is intending to study on either the MA
International Relations or the MA International Security. This will be worth
the value of home/EU student fees (£7,500) with the remaining balance of £7,600
to be paid by the scholarship holder themselves. This is open to students
intending to start their course in September 2020.
2. A home/EU student who is intending to study on either the MA
International Relations or the MA International Security. This will cover 100%
of the tuition fees (£7,500) and is open to full-time or part-time students
intending to start their course in September 2020.
3. A student who is intending to study on the MA International Relations
(Distance Learning). This will cover 100% of the tuition fees (£7,500) and is
open to full-time or part-time students intending to start their course in
September 2020.
An application form for the two scholarships is available from Laura Crofts: lcrofts@brookes.ac.uk and must be returned by 23:59
on Friday 5 June 2020.
Please note: the scholarships do not cover the living costs of studying
in Oxford on the MA International Relations and MA International Security.
Guidelines on how much you should expect to spend on your living costs can be
found here.
Our postgraduate students benefit from being taught by a team of
research-active scholars who publish in their areas of expertise. The MA International
Relations (Distance Learning) provides a range of interactive materials to
enable students to critically engage with each other and staff, thereby
allowing them to enjoy the flexibility that is afforded through online study.
In addition to the taught modules, students on both the MA International
Relations and the MA International Security also get the opportunity to go on
a four-day study tour
to Brussels and The Hague. Travel and accommodation for this trip are
included in your fees, and this includes visits to key institutions of the
European Union and a range of international organisations, such as the
International Criminal Court and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical
Weapons. This trip enables students to get a first-hand experience of how these
important international institutions work.
