Spectator article explores the work of James Hawes

‘If you want to understand the mood of modern Britain, James Hawes’s novels of middle class fury are not a bad place to start’. The novels of Dr James Hawes, Reader in Creative Writing at Brookes were the subject of a recent article in the Spectator by journalist, author and political commentator Nick Cohen. Nick Cohen is a Creative Writing Fellow at Brookes who delivered a lecture entitled Censorship in an Age of Freedom earlier this semester.
