Applying for your visa

  • If you are a national of a country which is not in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland you will need to have permission to come to the UK as a student.

The following information outlines how you should apply for a Tier 4 student visa that will allow you to enter the UK to start your course at Oxford Brookes.

The stages of the application process are as follows:

    1. Accept your offer (conditional or unconditional) using either UCAS or UKPASS if you applied using these systems. If you applied by any other route please refer to the offer correspondence for instructions on how to accept the offer.
    2. We will send you the CAS Information Questionnaire - this is sent from October onwards for course beginning in January, and May onwards for courses beginning in September. (For University English and pre-master's courses commencing in May the questionnaire will be sent from January onwards.)
    3. Complete the CAS Information Questionnaire and submit the requested documents using the email address provided.
    4. Submit the evidence to show that you have met the conditions of your offer (only applicable if your offer was conditional).
    5. For all unconditional offer holders (including those who have met the requirements of their conditional offer and whose offer is now unconditional) we will review your completed CAS Information Questionnaire and process a CAS request.
    6. We will email you a CAS Statement usually within 3-5 days of its request.
    7. You can then use your CAS Statement to assist in your application for a student visa.
