    Starting your degree in January 2022, September 2022 or January 2023? You could qualify for one of our new £2,000 international student scholarships.

    We know that moving to a new country can be a challenge, and we believe that early preparation is an important factor in student success. In order to encourage our students to be well prepared for their new life in the UK, we are offering a £2,000 scholarship to support students who accept their places by a relevant deadline, see below for more information.

    In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must:

    ✔ Hold a conditional or unconditional offer from the University.

    ✔ Accept your offer and pay your deposit by the relevant deadline:


    1. Accept your offer and pay your deposit by 15 November 2021, if you are applying for January 2022
    2. Accept your offer and pay your deposit by 15 April 2022 if you are applying for September 2022
    3. The deadline for January 2023 is still to be confirmed.

    ✔ Enrol in January 2022, September 2022 or January 2023 as a new full-time undergraduate or postgraduate international fee-paying student.

  • In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:  
    1. Applicants must:
      1. Have an offer from the University to begin a degree programme in January 2022 and have accepted this offer by 15 November 2021.
      2. Have made payment of any tuition fee deposit by 15 November 2021 where applicable. Please read the terms of your offer carefully if a deposit is required.

    2. Applicants must be new, full-time, international fee-paying students commencing full 3 or 4-year undergraduate degrees (including Integrated Foundation Courses) or full 1 or 2-year postgraduate degrees. Unfortunately this scholarship does not apply to students under home/EU fees.

    3. The scholarship will only be available to students commencing a degree in January 2022.

    4. The scholarship scheme will not apply to:
      1. Pre-sessional programmes in English Language
      2. 1-year stand-alone Foundation Programmes including:
        • International Foundation Diploma
        • Foundation in Art and Design
      3. Pre-Master’s programmes (excluding the Two Year Master's Programme which will be included in the scheme)
      4. Modular associate programmes or exchange programmes
      5. Diploma courses
      6. Certificate courses

    5. Students are not able to claim this scholarship in conjunction with any other funding offered by Oxford Brookes.

    6. The scholarship will not be available to students who are sponsored.

    7. The scholarship will be awarded as a discount applicable to the student’s second semester of tuition fees.
    In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:  
    1. Applicants must:
      1. Have an offer from the University to begin a degree programme in September 2022 and have accepted this offer by 15 April 2022.
      2. Have made payment of any tuition fee deposit by 15 April 2022 where applicable. Please read the terms of your offer carefully if a deposit is required.

    2. Applicants must be new, full-time, international fee-paying students commencing full 3 or 4-year undergraduate degrees (including Integrated Foundation Courses) or full 1 or 2-year postgraduate degrees. Unfortunately this scholarship does not apply to students under home/EU fees.

    3. The scholarship will only be available to students commencing a degree in January 2023.

    4. The scholarship scheme will not apply to:
      1. Pre-sessional programmes in English Language

  • Commonwealth Shared Scholarship 2022

    Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and jointly supported by UK universities, Commonwealth Shared Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.

    This year Oxford Brookes University will be offering 3 fully funded Commonwealth Shared Scholarships. Applicants who will be studying the following courses are welcome to apply:

    • MA International Relations
    • MSc Primate Conservation
    • MA Development and Emergency Practice

    Applicants should apply for the scholarship through the applicant portal by 4.00pm (GMT) on Monday 20 December 2021. Applications after this date will not be considered.

  • In order to apply for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

    • Hold an offer from Oxford Brookes University for September 2022.
    • Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person.
    • Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.
    • Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September 2022.
    • By September 2022, hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honours standard, or a lower second-class degree (2:2) and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree).
    • Not have studied or worked for one (academic) year or more in a high-income country.
    • Be unable to afford to study at a UK university without this scholarship.
    • Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format.

    Eligible Commonwealth countries include:

    Bangladesh, Cameroon, Eswatini, The Gambia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Zambia.


  • GREAT Scholarships 2022

    Oxford Brookes University is excited to announce that this year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, we are offering two £10,000 scholarships to students from Egypt and Nepal holding an offer to study a postgraduate course with us starting in September 2022.

    This Scholarship scheme is part of the GREAT Scholarship 2022 programme, which is an initiative by the British Council and the UK Government, designed to attract some of the brightest postgraduate students from around the world to study at more than 40 British universities in the 2022-23 academic year.

    • be a passport holder of Egypt or Nepal
    • hold an offer from us for a postgraduate taught course starting in September 2022

    How to apply for the GREAT Scholarship for the 2022-23 academic year?

    Applications for the GREAT Scholarship for 2022/23 will open shortly. Applications are made directly to Oxford Brookes via an online form. The form will be added to this webpage as soon as applications open.   • EU Student Support Scholarship 2022

    At Oxford Brookes, we deeply value our students from the EU and we will continue to do all we can to welcome EU students long into the future.

    We are therefore delighted to announce that we will be offering scholarships of £4,000 to all EU students who wish to join our degree programmes in the academic year 2022/23. If you meet the criteria, this scholarship will be applied automatically as a discount to your tuition fees across all years of study.

  • In order to qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    1. Applicants must:
      • have an offer from the University to begin a degree programme in the academic year 2022/23 and to have firmly accepted that offer
      • be a passport holder of an EU country / have EU nationality
      • be an international fee-paying student
      • be studying a full time 3 or 4 year undergraduate degree (including Foundation programme, year 2 or year 3 entry), a full 1 or 2 year postgraduate degree (including a Pre-master programme) or a 3 year postgraduate research degree primarily delivered at an Oxford Brookes campus.
    2. The scholarship will only be available to students commencing a degree in the academic year 2022/23. This includes the following entry points:
      • January 2022
      • September 2022
      • January 2023
    3. Students are not able to claim this scholarship in conjunction with any other funding offered by Oxford Brookes University.
    4. Unfortunately this scholarship does not apply to students who qualify to pay Home (UK) fees.
    5. The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee discount.
    6. This scholarship does not apply to placement years.
    7. This scholarship is not available to ACP students.
    8. This scholarship is not available to students where the Home and Overseas fee are the same level.
    9. This scholarship is not available to distance learning students.
