How to apply

  • To apply for our Exchange or Study Abroad programmes you will need to meet our academic and English language requirements. If you wish to study an English language programme prior to the start of your chosen academic programmes, more information can be found here.

    Students whose home university has a partnership agreement with Oxford Brookes may apply through the Exchange programme.

    Students from all other universities (European and international) may apply through the Study Abroad programme.

  • Application deadlines to study in 2019/20:

    Semester 1 (September - December 2019): 17 May 2019

    Full academic year (September 2019 - May 2020): 17 May 2019

    Semester 2 (January - May 2020): 11 October 2019

    Applications for the academic year 2019/2020 will open at the end of April at which point students will receive a link to the online system.

    Exchange programmes

    Before you can apply for an exchange at Oxford Brookes University, you must first be nominated by your home university. Once we have received your nomination, you will be sent an email containing a link to the online application portal.

    Erasmus+ work placement opportunity

    We are looking for an Erasmus+ work placement student to undertake administrative activities to support exchange and study abroad programmes and marketing activities for the Exchanges Team. These include organising events, producing marketing materials and support for internal communication, events and social media projects. Further information can be found in the job description.

    You should have good general administrative experience and a well-rounded knowledge of different marketing techniques. Some experience of marketing and communications particularly in the area of e-marketing is desirable.

    Applicants must be available to work during Semester 1 2019/2020 (September to December) and must be in receipt of Erasmus+ funding in order to apply for the position. The work placement student will also receive a monthly payment of £400 and a reimbursement of return flight costs up to a maximum of £250.

    Please submit the application form, a letter of recommendation from your home university and evidence of your English Language level (interested applicants should have a minimum of IELTS 6) to erasmus@brookes.ac.uk by the application deadline - Friday 12th April.
