Oxford Brookes University offers you a range of opportunities to see the world during your studies.
We hold many events throughout the year where you can meet the study abroad and exchanges team and learn more about opportunities to study or work overseas.
We have more than 150 agreements with partner universities worldwide in Australia, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Thailand, Uruguay, Vietnam and the United States giving you the opportunity to study abroad for up to two semesters.
The Erasmus Work Placement programme is a European initiative developed to promote work placements in European countries. Access to Erasmus+ funding is dependent on the UK's position on the Erasmus+ programme.
There are a range of opportunities available to give you a wider international experience as part of your studies.
Under the Withdrawal Agreement negotiated with the EU, the UK will continue to participate in the Erasmus+ programme (2014-2020). This means that the University will continue to use EU funding for the full duration of its Erasmus+ Grant Agreement, which expires in May 2023.
The University has applied for funding through the new Turing scheme, which starts in 2021-22 and is the UK’s replacement for the Erasmus+ programme. The scheme will provide funding for study and work in countries worldwide and additional funding for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Further information will be provided about our involvement with the scheme as it becomes available.
