Gaining an Oxford Brookes degree is not just an inspirational learning experience. It will also help you become internationally employable. We give you everything you need to ensure you have the technical, academic and personal skills and experience to help you pursue your chosen career path. You can benefit from opportunities to work and meet with individuals from a broad range of businesses and industries.

    Career-focused degrees

An impressive number of industry organisations accredit our degree courses so you can be assured that you are learning what is expected in the workplace. Some courses offer exemption from professional exams and can provide a fast track to advanced industry qualifications.

As well as being outstanding academics, your lecturers are likely to have worked in the same professions you want to work in, and will bring this first-hand experience to the classroom.

    Work experience

Many degree courses offer paid or unpaid work experience with leading companies and organisations. This will be extremely valuable in persuading future employers that you have the practical skills and knowledge that they require. You can even gain work experience in another country as part of an exchange year. During your placement, you might make such a positive impression that it leads to a permanent job after graduation.

As part of my course, I completed a one-year work placement with Four Communications – one of the leading independent communication agencies in the UK – where I met so many kind people who helped me learn and develop my communication and professional skills a lot. Thanks to them, I have realised my potential and interest in technology and digital marketing.
