Borrow laptops

Chromebooks

Google Chromebooks* are internet-based laptops that are set up to connect to the Brookes network. They are available to borrow for free from the Harcourt and Wheatley libraries or the self-service cabinets at the Forum, John Henry Brookes Building, Gipsy Lane site (Headington Campus), MRG44, Marston Road site (Headington Campus) or Library, Joel Joffe Building (Swindon Campus). You will need your staff or student ID card.

The self-service cabinets have clear instructions on how to use them. Once you have scanned your card, the cabinet will tell you which drawer to take the laptop from. Please remember to plug the power cable back in when you return the Chromebook. You will remain logged in as the borrower until this is done.

*Chromebooks only connect to the Brookes network and will not work if you are not on site.

Windows laptops (coming soon)

Coming soon: Windows laptops available to borrow from self-service cabinets in Clerici, Abercrombie and John Henry Brookes Buildings, Gipsy Lane site (Headington Campus). These laptops will have access to all of the software available on AppsAnywhere, web apps and Microsoft Office 365.
