The ECDL Study Guide provides information and advice on studying for ECDL certification. The guide explains how to access the online study units, make full use of the drop-in sessions, and get support from your tutor.

You are expected to complete your ECDL course within 1 year (2 years for Advanced level courses). If you need more time, a 12 month extension is available for an annual continuation fee. Details are included in the ECDL Study Guide.

Your course fees include the cost of all your practice tests, exams, and 1 additional credit, (should you need to retake a unit). Additional practice tests and exams are available per unit for a small fee. Details are included in the ECDL Study Guide.

On successful conclusion of all examinations, you will be awarded your ECDL certificate, certified by the British Computer Society (BCS), the Chartered Institute for IT.

  • Drop-ins take place every Wednesday morning, and most Monday afternoons at the ECDL Centre.
Exams can be taken on Wednesday mornings between 10.30-12.30. View the Dates & times.

The ECDL Centre is located in the IT Training, room LL.G.03. Lloyd Building (ground floor). Download the Headington campus map for details.
