Library opening hours. For full details for all libraries, including 24/7 at Headington during semesters, please see our individual site library pages:

Borrowing books, DVDs etc : You may borrow up to 30 books or other items from our lending stock, using your staff card and self-issue machines. These will be automatically renewed, if not reserved, until a limit of 25 renewals has been reached. They must then be returned, but may be reissued if not reserved. You may reserve up to 15 items at any one time. Fines are charged on all overdue items.

Finding resources: The Library home page /library/ is the starting point for a wealth of information about the Library and its services. To find resources, choose a search tab from the grey Search box

    • LibrarySearch offers a general 'Google' type search for books, e-books, DVDs and many journal articles. It also includes RADAR: the Oxford Brookes Research Archive and Digital Asset Repository, which contains teaching, learning and research materials created by the University and its staff
    • Books and e-books provides an easy way to find the print and e-books held by the Library
    • Journal titles is the best tab when you already know the name of the journal you wish to find
    • Find a database is the gateway to finding journal articles on a subject
    • For subject specific help, choose Subject help

EndNote: EndNote is the bibliographic reference management software package supported at Brookes. Detailed guidance is available.

Printing, scanning, photocopying and copyright: The Library offers both photocopying and scanning services, together with copyright guidelines.

Inter-library loans: An interlibrary loans service is offered to obtain books, journal articles and other documentation from other libraries in the UK, and abroad if necessary, for use in connection with your work. The cost of this service is charged back to Faculties/Directorates.
