More eBooks and More Articles

You have been exploring our ebooks and online journal articles more than ever before, but we know you'd like the opportunity to access even more digital titles.

More eBooks and More Articles allow you to read more of what you need - wherever you are right now.

This is the sixth year that we’ve offered an initiative like this.

Previous students told us:

“It’s a great service that grants students access to books without the need to purchase them. I couldn’t have wanted anything better.”

“Amazing service for students, quick and easy to fill out the request and librarians are extremely helpful.”

“It's the highlight of the year”

More eBooks

We know from your feedback that you would like better access to the books you need for your course. More eBooks has been designed to do just that.

Tell us what you need and we will aim to buy the ebook for the Library as quickly as we can. We are only ordering ebooks due to the current COVID-19 situation. This means that all Oxford Brookes students can benefit, wherever you are.

How it works:

  • You can request up to five ebooks.
  • Publishers don’t make every title available as an ebook through library suppliers. This means we may not be able to purchase everything you ask for. We will let you know if we can’t buy what you’ve asked for.
  • Please note we are not able to purchase Kindle books as they are licenced for individuals, not institutions like universities.
  • More eBooks is available to all our students and will continue until funds run out, so don’t forget to let us know what you’d like us to buy!

More Articles

We know from your feedback that you would like to be able to quickly and easily read journal articles we don't subscribe to.

More Articles allows you to do just that.

This year we've extended More Articles so that undergraduates, postgraduates and research students can all get free articles.

How it works:

  • Make your More Articles request in LibrarySearch
  • Find an article in Libraries WorldWide
  • Use the More Articles request button to submit your request
  • We'll send you a PDF.
Follow our step by step instructions on making a More Articles request (PDF document).
