African Centre for Statistics
ECA serves the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa as a regional service centre for data on economic, social, demographic, and environmental conditions in African countries. It produces reports such as the African Statistical Yearbook and has a statistical database called StatBase.
African Economic Outlook
This website reviews the economic, social and political developments of 53 African countries. Data and statistics are provided as well as individual country profiles. The website combines the expertise of the African Development Bank, the OECD Development Centre, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, the United Nations Development Programme and a network of African think tanks and research centres to provide comprehensive and comparable data and analysis.
African Development Bank
The African Development Bank contributes to the economic and social progress of African countries. The website links to useful publications such as the African Development Report and the African Statistical Yearbook. It also includes the Africa Competitiveness Report which highlights the key issues that hinder improvements in Africa's competiveness and job growth. This is published in collaboration with the World Economic Forum and the World Bank.
African Development Indicators
The World Bank's collection of development indicators on Africa, compiled from officially-recognized international sources. It presents the most current and accurate global development data available, and includes national, regional and global estimates.
Aiddata is a new interactive database that tracks Chinese development finance flows to Africa from 2000 to 2011.
