Training sessions for Health and Social Work

  • Dissertation Training Sessions

Do you need help in devising your search strategy? Are you finding too many results? Or too few? Or are your results not relevant? Then this session is for you!

We will be running both basic (09.00-10.00) and advanced training (10.15-11.15) sessions on

Monday 19th November 2018 in the Library Basement Training Room (JHBB09)

Please note that you must sign up in advance for this session, rather than just turning up. To do this: click the following link and fill in your details:

Please note: If you sign up for an advanced database searching session, we expect you to be competent at basic database searching (picking out keywords, finding synonyms, truncation and Boolean Operators). If you do not feel competent in these areas, we suggest that you sign up for a basic database searching session instead.

Swindon students can get the same help one to one at any time. Just follow the link at the bottom of the page to book a session.

    EndNote Web Training Sessions

EndNote is a piece of software designed to help you manage your references in your assignments and dissertations. It also enables the easy insertion of journal or book references into assignments.
EndNote Web is an online version of this software that is freely available to Brookes students.

Our next EndNote Web sessions will be 11.15-12.00 on

Monday 19th November 2018 in the Library Basement Training Room (JHBB09)
